Dalian first develops beach multi-layer ecologic cultivation
Extracted from Rural Online:
Early in the winter, Dalian Pulandian Sea Water Culture Experiment Zone lives Venerupis variegate on the first floor, prawn on the second floor and jelly fish on the third floor. So far, there are prawn and jelly fish harvest, and Venerupis variegates are growing well, which marks that multi-layer seafood cultivation by Bohai Sea water has achieved great success in Dalian for the first time and provided reliable scientific data for efficient and ecological beach cultivation at Bohai Sea.
It is said that, compared with other sea area, Bohai Sea water has 4% higher salt component, and higher demand toward aquatic cultivation. Previously, Pulandian carried out two-layer (Venerupis variegate, prawn and jelly fish) cultivation experiment by Yellow Sea water, and succeeded. It is not only three-layer cultivation experiment this time, but also using Bohai Sea water for the first time.
In 2006, a sea water cultivation experiment park covering 380mu was established in Pulandian Bay to experiment three-layer cultivation by Bohai Sea water. This spring 1.2 million young orient prawn and 200,000 young Jiangsu Red jelly fish were introduced and bred. By employing scientific method and technology, technicians successfully solved problems, such as bad water quality and high PH value and salinity. By harvest time, jelly fish is 2.5kg on average and prawn is 10cm on average.
According to principal of Pulandian Technology Bureau, the bureau will increase whelk and other sea animals to carry out different blended solid cultivation experiments.
