| Breeding technology of tilapia, rockfishes, abalone and Babylonia has passed the examination by experts |
It is learnt from the Hainan Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision that it had organized some experts with Hainan Bureau of Ocean and Fishery, and completed five technical examinations according to Hainan local standards in June, namely, “Technical Regulations of Tilapia Offspring Breeding”, “Technical Regulations of Epinephelus Coioides Offspring Breeding”, “Technical Regulations of Babylonia Areolata Offspring Breeding”, “Technical Regulations of Babylonia Areolata Breeding”, and “Technical Regulations of Concha Haliotidis Breeding”, etc.
In recent years, the area and output of artificial breeding of aquatic products, such as tilapia, rockfishes, abalone, and Babylonia, etc, increase year by year in Hainan province, and some “green” high quality products have been exported. In order to further standardize aquiculture management, promote and apply advanced breeding technology, Hainan Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision and Hainan Bureau of Ocean and Fishery made a wide research, passed and issued the above mentioned five local standards about aquatic product breeding technology last August, the Aquaculture Research Institute of Hainan Province and Fishery Technical Extension Station of Hainan did the research and drawing work about the local standards, and completed the work successfully through ten months of hard work.
After examination, the expert group believed that the technical contents of the five local standards about aquatic product breeding were complete, scientific, pragmatic, feasible and suitable for Hainan aquiculture. The issuing of local standards played an important role to increase the technical level of Hainan aquatic product offspring breeding and cultivation, and promote the development of Hainan special aquatic product breeding. |
