From today, we will publicize a series of reports, which are written based on our reporters’ latest experience to Danling Town of Danling County, Huachi Village of Simeng Town, Dongpo District, and Tuanjie Village of Huangfeng Town, Pengshan County, which explain the “product concept” that our city proposed when we develop “one village, one product” by fresh news, and tell the special experience in the major aspects of “improving quality, increasing profit, building brand, and winning reputation, etc”, and hope to provide some inspiration for the city to develop “one village, one product”. 　　On Oct. 25, our reporter went to Danling Town, Danling County, a large fruit town, he saw numerous rich fruits and beautiful rural houses through green trees. The golden “Robertson navel orange” glitters like stars in the night sky, the “Shiranui Tangor” hanging closely in the trees like cucurbits shows light red, late-maturing “Qingjian” orange grows rapidly and silently among the leaves, and you can feel a good harvest wherever you go. 　　Started from structural readjustment to building large scale “one town, one industry”, Danling town persisted in the development of fruit industry in the latest ten years, and at present, there is 25,000 mou of navel orange plantation, 10,000 mou of summer fruit (mainly including grape, etc) plantation, 1,500 mou of excellent germchit static tree plantation, seven specialized economic cooperation organizations, and 20 pit fruit traders (companies). All the 11 villages plant naval orange, 94.3% villagers are fruit farmers, and the income from fruits accounts for 80% that of rural per capita net income. 　　Li Xuequan, a standing member of the county party committee and the secretary of the town party committee, said that the three main industries in the town were fruit industry, industrial park and urban economy. In order to further adjust the layout of fruit industry, it recently re-planned and perfected three major fruit industry belts, namely, west bank of Tanghe River (including three closely located villages, such as Longtan village, etc), the area along Danling-Pujiang Highway (including three closely located villages, such as Hongshi village, etc) and the area in the south of State Road 106 (including four closely located villages, such as Qinglong village, etc). The main products in the three industry belts were “Robertson navel orange”, “Meishan No.9 orange” and other high quality navel orange, in addition, they also successfully developed special fruits (such as “Shiranui Tangor”, and “Qingjian” orange, etc) and summer fruits (such as “Jufeng” grape, etc), with total fruit planting area increasing to 43,000 mou in three years, and they also planned to increase 500 mou of static tree, six special cooperation organizations and 60 pit fruit traders. 　　Different from Danling town, Huachi Village of Simeng Town, Dongpo District made good use of natural conditions, such as water source, and convenient traffic, etc, to do the extra-fine “green” aquaculture (mainly catfish, etc), with 500 households (718 households in all) participating in fishery, 70% of land being changed into square fish pond and fish havens with total area of nearly 2,000 mou, and the “Huachi Catfish” was well-known all over the country. Recently, quite a few major fish farmers started to rent land from other villages, so as to enlarge breeding scale. 　　In fact, the implement of “one village, one product” helps most of farmers in the industry area to realize their dream to be rich. When the reporter made his interview to one town and two villages, quite a few interviewees couldn’t help saying that their annual net income exceeded RMB 30,000 or even 50,000. Located at the east foot of Mt. Pengzu, the Tuanjie Village of Huangfeng Town in Pengshan County also became rich by growing orange. At present, the village has its village orchard, teams have team orchard, and households have their household orchard as well, with total planting area of orange reaching 3,380 mou, planting area per capita of 1.56 mou. Last year, the rural per capita net income was RMB 4,200, which is expected to be RMB 4,800 this year. In the past 20 years, they persisted in developing orange industry, which helped them to lead a rich life. 　　As the villagers said that peasant economy could be developed by the strategy of “one village, one product”.
